How to Get the Metal Detector
Steam's 1.08 notes say the detector stopped beeping even when items were left. I tell you to patch first, then dig the beach for the lockpick and camera.
- Night shed. Open the shed with the key constellation just before sunrise. Arrange the skeletons so ants remove the sticky material, then lower the middle skeleton and take the detector.
- Beach. Dig up the lockpick and camera. Continue later objectives for Beartha's device and Fish Paper.
- Patch. If the beep stops early, confirm you are on 1.08.
Bone puzzle and digging
Move each skeleton so ants can eat the sticky material on the detector, then lower the middle skeleton to reach it. The shed key constellation is used just before sunrise, not the first-night beach phone constellation.
The beach supplies the lockpick and camera. Later Timesville objectives also use digging for Beartha's device and Fish Paper. Misery Town's projector remote is another detector find. The broken phone comes from a separate telescope constellation, not this beach dig.
Questions I keep seeing
Why did the detector go silent?
That was a bug fixed in 1.08. Patch, then dig again.
Keep going
