Vending Machine Code

Answer. First set: yellow-circle-one x3 and red-diamond-four x2 (750 credits). Second set: green-triangle-three x4 and blue-square-two x4 (1,200 credits). Press PUSH and take the items from the lower slot.

The Office vending machine uses color, shape and number inputs, not one universal PIN. The Basic Text Walkthrough records these combinations. Have enough in-game credits and collect purchases from the slot.

  1. PUSH. Buy, then collect from the slot under the door.
  2. Missing item. Scroll the bag, then check the slot again.
  3. Shapes. See the colored cards page for the pip patterns.

Shopping budget

Allow 900 credits for the first trip: 750 for the machine, 50 for the door and 100 for the elevator. The later shopping list costs 1,200. These are player-recorded in-game budgets.

The Office phone number 277-5944 is a different puzzle.

Questions I keep seeing

What is the vending code?

There is no universal PIN. The Basic Text Walkthrough gives yellow-circle-one three times plus red-diamond-four twice for the first set, and green-triangle-three plus blue-square-two four times each for the second. Press PUSH and collect the items.
